Who I Am

My name is Meghna Das, and I am an Indian-American therapist (LMFT #163026) born and raised in California. As a child of immigrants, growing up in two cultures, being a person of color, and being neurodivergent has greatly shaped my worldview.

Therapy is political. I work through an anti-oppression and systemic lens. I strongly believe in the power of community and how we as individuals can become better members of society via introspection and genuine relationships.

I believe in bringing my authentic self to therapy, and I invite you to do the same. I am relational and I value transparency. In therapy sessions, I am curious, direct, and empowering. I don’t believe I am the expert or “professional”, but rather someone who can hold up a mirror for you and guide you to where you may naturally go. I follow my own curiosity to ask deepening questions, ultimately help you deepen your awareness and expand your capacity for change.

With that being said, I am also a full person outside of the therapy room! A little about me: I have two cats (Kitten and Uni), I greatly value the arts (textile arts, oil pastels, and photography are my current fixations), I am a bit of a music snob, and I find movement extremely healing, especially in the form of dancing. Let’s talk about it!

If you have any questions or want to talk more about the above, please don’t hesitate to contact me below.
